The administration of Ulaanbaatar city has decided to organize an international marathon competition called "Ulaanbaatar Marathon".In accordance with international standard, this marathon runs Saturday or Sunday of the first week of June.

 Pursuant to a decision of the city's administration, this year's marathon will take place on Saturday. Co-organized by the city's administration, the "Ar Mongol Travel" group and Mongolia's Light Athletics Federation, the event has aims to improve health of population through developing public physical culture and supporting active lifestyle.
It is expected that the international marathon will attract some 150 runners from 14 countries such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, USA, Japan, Italy and Australia. An international master of sports B.Ser-Od will compete in the marathon.
The competitions will run in four distance categories. First six runners in each category will be granted medals and cash prizes.
